about

I love Kate Bush, when my Dad Shags Chamberlain recorded my first proper studio album with Pets With Pets he made me a little cubby house to do my vocals in. It was lined with pictures and album covers of Kate Bush. Boys in Town is a poor mans 'Running up that hill (deal with god)" as you will see I have tried to replicate it badly at the start of this. The drums gave me nightmares for days. I just had a little finger drum iphone app that i had to get that fucking fill right with. This song is mostly a tribute to Kate Bush and just 80's New Romantic Synth songs in general.

lyrics

I don't want to stay, please let go
I don't want to wait, please let go
And all the boys in town that I see the most, tell me who is the girl that I love the most, darling.
I don't want to stay, please let go

Believe Me
Believe Me
Believe...

I don't want to stay, please let go
I don't want to wait, please let go
And all the boys in town that I see the most, tell me who is the girl that I love the most, darling.
I don't want to stay, please let go

Believe Me
Believe Me
Believe...

And it breaks my heart that you never acted suprised
I told you from the start that the sunlight was burning my eyes

And all the boys in town that I see the most, tell me who is the girl that I love the most, darling.
I don't want to stay, please let go

Believe Me
Believe Me
Believe...

And it breaks my heart that you never acted suprised
I told you from the start that the sunlight was burning my eyes
And I don't know what I want but I need it now, tell me who are the boys and i'll get there somehow
I told you from the start that the sunlight was burning my eyes

The middle
The middle
The middle
At the end...

And it breaks my heart that you never acted suprised
I told you from the start that the sunlight was burning my eyes
And I don't know what I want but I need it now, tell me who are the boys and i'll get there somehow
I told you from the start that the sunlight was burning my eyes
