London is a dense place. It is a place where everything feels actual. Actual terraced houses, actual underground trains, actual shops, actual streets, actual parties. It's an actual city. London is very cozy for me. It took some getting used to actually seeing people on the streets everywhere you go in London, dreary dark at 4pm, everyone in their coats at a train station. A 'junction' that lies almost on the outskirts of the 'inner city' (Bethnal Green) would be a ghostly scene in Melbourne or Sydney at the most festive of times. But Bethnal Green was bustling in transit all nights of the week. A place where you can get whatever you like, even cheese on your chips.
